Ridgewater college farm business management program

Ridgewater College has recently hired two new Farm Business Management instructors. We welcome Kami Schoenfeld and Doug Lind to the FBM team!

Kami Schoenfeld is the Ridgewater College FBM Instructor working in the Lac qui Parle/Chippewa Counties and adjacent area.   She graduated from Lac qui Parle Valley and graduated from South Dakota State University with degrees in Agriculture Education and Animal Science and minors in Agriculture Business and Agriculture Marketing.   She comes to the program from the University of Minnesota Extension and co-owns a small livestock operation. She can be reached at 320.212.5255 or Kami.Schoenfeld@Ridgewater.edu.

 

Doug Lind is the Ridgewater College FBM Instructor working in the Renville/Redwood/Yellow Medicine Counties and adjacent area. Doug grew up on a crop farm in east-central Minnesota. He received his BA in Economics from Carleton College in Northfield, MN. Doug comes to the program with ten years of grain and agricultural marketing experience. The Ridgewater College FBM program is designed to provide education to farm/ranch owner of all sizes and stages and all persons interested in farming/ranching. Ultimately FBM instructors strive to help make farm operations efficient, profitable and fiscally responsible. FBM courses are delivered in a student-centered environment and as a student, you receive college credit based on course outcome and goals.

Our objective is to provide farmers with a better understanding of the business and financial aspects of their farm operation through continuing education and personalized instruction with hands-on assistance.
