SUMMARY:Northwest Suburban Integration School District Visit to CLC Ag & Energy Center
DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday\, November 4\, AgCentric and the Central Lakes College Ag & Energy Center will host approximately 40 middle and high school students from the Northwest Suburban Integration School District for an interactive\, hands-on agriculture and technology experience. The visit is designed to introduce students to modern agriculture careers and demonstrate how technology\, robotics\, soil science\, and data tools are changing the way food and fuel are produced. \nStudents will begin the day with a welcome and a brief history of the farm before rotating through a series of short\, action-based learning stations. Rotations include tractor ride-and-drive with live in-cab technology\, precision digital tools such as MyJohnDeere\, soil exploration\, robotics in agriculture\, and refractometer demonstrations. The experience will conclude with a final group activity and a photo. \nThe goal of the visit is to provide students with direct exposure to real equipment\, emerging technologies\, and the skills required in today’s ag and ag-tech workforce — while allowing them to ask questions and discover new career pathways through hands-on learning.
