Drone Training Workshops


Small UAS Part 107 Ground School:

Registration $750 Per Seat ($550 has been sponsored by AgCentric, $200 due per participant)

Description: This course provides a comprehensive overview of federal aviation regulations governing small UAS. It is designed for professionals who will operate small UAS in commercial environments.  It provides the knowledge to successfully pass the FAA certification exam.  Practical field experience, lessons learned, and other standard operating procedures will help in applying this information and support successful UAS operations.  This course is offered through multiple formats including distance delivery and on-site workshops.  All delivery methodologies include synchronous time with subject matter experts and instructors.  As a part of the course, all students will have access to ongoing training resources and other supporting operational information.  See website for currently scheduled offerings. DroneTECH Educator Workshop

June 13-15, 2017, Ridgewater College Campus- Willmar MN

August 7-9 2017, Northland Community and Technical College, Thief River Falls MN

Registration $1395.00 Sponsored in part by AgCentric The registration fee covers the cost of a multirotor UAS lab kit ($895 value) and lunch for all three days. Participants are responsible for lodging and transportation to the workshops.  

Description: Unmanned Aircraft Systems UAS are a technology creating new and exciting opportunities in education with a broad impact to many careers.  This workshop will provide secondary and post-secondary educators with an introduction to UAS and geospatial technology and the tools to incorporate into existing STEM education. Participants will have access to continued resources, curriculum and faculty expertise following the workshop. (12 seats)

DroneTECH Summer Camp 

August 10-11 – $25 (registration covers meals and a camp T-shirt)

Participants: Grades 9-12 and Resent Graduates

Description:

Unmanned Aircraft Systems UAS are doing it all from pizza and package delivery to monitoring wildlife and the farm field.  Come learn about this exciting technology and get a hands on experience in the maintenance and operation of UAS.  Then transform the digital data collected by UAS into usable industry products.

UAS Advanced Systems Training, June 26-30, 2017, Central Lakes College Campus- Staples

Registration $1,075 (partially sponsored by AgCentric  This event is designed to focus on educators and help them work through specific topics useful in applying UAS technology.  Topics would include UAS operations, software solutions and training support, as well as training in imagery analysis. (12 seats)
